Report documents use templates developed in Word to export data from your Miradi project to a formatted Word document; they will always download with the latest project data. Two types of report documents are available to Miradi projects:
Standard report documents are available for all Miradi projects.
Custom report documents are available for projects that live within a Miradi program space. You may or may not have custom report documents in your project, depending on whether or not your program administrator has created custom templates for your project. Custom report documents are not available for standalone Miradi projects.
Note that because these report documents export data from Miradi to a Word document, any edits you make to the Word document after running the report will not be reflected in your Miradi project.
Report documents generated from a template can be as simple as a summary of strategy and activity progress, or as complex as a full strategic plan. They can include pictures, logos and maps, diagrams, progress reports and indicators charts generated in Miradi, and any of the styling and formatting options available in Word.
How do I produce a report document for my project?
Within a Miradi project, exportable report documents are available under REPORTS & DATA > Report Document Export.
You can also find report documents under the Data Views menu at the upper right of the Miradi window.
The table lists all standard and custom report templates that are available to your project, along with a description of the report and guidance on how to run a successful report. The Last Downloaded column tells you who last ran the report, and the Updated Date tells you when the template was last updated.
To run a report for your project, click on the Document Name in blue at the far left of the table, wait for the report to run, and save it to your Downloads folder or somewhere else you can find it.
Note that some of these reports will include a large amount of data from your project and could take many seconds or even minutes to complete.
Can I create my own report document templates for my project?
At this point, report document templates can not be created for individual Miradi projects.
If your project is a standalone project, i.e. not in a Miradi program space, you only have access to the standard report documents. If you would like to suggest edits to a standard report or have ideas for a new standard report template, please Submit a Request.
If your project is within a Miradi program, contact your program administrator about access to the template authoring space where you can create your own report templates, or adapt existing standard and custom templates.
