The Shared Projects view in Miradi Share allows you to search all publicly available shared projects, as well as all of those non-public projects that you have access to as a member of a Miradi project team or Miradi program.
Now that you know that Miradi serves as a database of conservation actions and measures, perhaps this will motivate you to share your projects publicly so others can learn from your work?
- Access all Shared Miradi Projects
- Search the Shared Projects database
- Contact teams to ask about their Miradi projects
- Share your Miradi projects and Programs
- CAML - the Conservation Actions and Measures Library
Access all shared Miradi projects
Shared Projects can be accessed from the Miradi Share home page. Click on the Shared Projects tab in the upper left corner of the main menu and wait a few seconds for the database to load. For public viewers who aren't logged in with a Miradi account there are over 500 publicly shared Miradi projects. Logged in Miradi users will see all of those public projects as well as any projects for which they have team member or program member access.
Search the Shared Projects database
Currently it is possible to search the list of projects in the following ways:
- Use the Search bar at the upper right of the table to search for terms that appear in Miradi project Names and Descriptions. For example, search for projects that address Coral Reefs.
- Search under Countries for projects in geographies of interest. For example, look for all Miradi projects in Australia.
- Search under Programs for organizations or conservation programs of interest. For example, search for all of the public Miradi projects owned by The Nature Conservancy
Contact teams to ask about their Miradi projects
Once you have identified a project of interest in the Shared Projects database, click on the details in the Description column to learn more about the project, and then click the project name in the first column to navigate to the project space.
If the project is Public, you will have access to all (or most) of the project content, but of course you will not be able to edit it. Navigate through the project just like you would your own Miradi project. For example, explore how the project team has developed the Target Viability information.
To contact the project team to learn more about their work, click on the Contact Team button in the upper right of the project window.
Share your Miradi projects and Programs
In order to increase global access to knowledge about effective conservation actions, the Miradi team would like to encourage you to make your Miradi projects public. If you are able to make all of your Miradi project or program data public, jump below to Make your Miradi projects and program publicly available.
If you are interested in making your projects or program public but some of your data is sensitive and needs to remain private, learn more about Setting up redaction rules for Miradi projects managed within Miradi programs.
Make your Miradi projects and Miradi program publicly available
To share your Miradi projects publicly so they are accessible in the Shared Projects database you will need to set the Project Access state to 'Public'. By default, any new projects are set to the most restrictive access, 'Team', so you will need to change this to make your project more broadly available.
To share your Miradi program publicly, you will need to set the Program Status to 'Public'. Note that Public programs still respect the sharing permissions of any Miradi projects within a program space. If you set your program to Public, some of the projects within that program might still be accessible only to team members or program members with appropriate project permissions. Learn more about Project and Program User Roles and Permissions.
CAML - the Conservation Actions and Measures Library
The Conservation Actions and Measures Library (CAML) is contained within Miradi Share. CAML includes generic theories of change, or Results Chains, for most common conservation actions as well as common objectives and indicators used to track progress along the Results Chains. In some cases, CAML also includes specific Results Chains provided by Miradi project teams willing to share their own work.
The content included within CAML is publicly available and can be copied by anyone with a Miradi account. Learn more about the CAML database and how to add content from CAML to your own Miradi projects.
