Help shape the future of Miradi: User Pool and Survey
To help us continue improving Miradi, we need your input! Let us know what you like, what frustrates you, and provide ideas for new features before Jan 8th by taking the Miradi User Survey(now shorter!).
Thanks to all those who have already responded. Based on your responses so far, we know that there are a lot of nifty Miradi features that you aren't aware of and we are already implementing new tools to help you find them.
By taking the survey, you can also join our Miradi User Pool. As a member of the user pool, we might contact you to try out features we're working on or to talk to us about how Miradi could be improved. You don't commit to anything, but every time you take part, you get to influence where Miradi is going!
Miradi moves to Azure Servers
In August 2023, Miradi moved to Microsoft Azure servers. Moving to Azure has enhanced Miradi Share performance and it ensures that Miradi Share can continue to meet the highest data availability and security standards. We have heard reports that Miradi users are experiencing improved performance of Miradi Share, including fewer errors and improved speed. Please let us know of any notable performance improvements, or if you are experiencing performance issues.
Moving to Azure also opened up the opportunity to develop local Miradi Share instances for Miradi users with specific in-country data residency requirements. Contact Us if you are interested in setting up a local Miradi Share instance for your organization.
Export diagrams with enhanced SVGs
Diagram images, including Situation Models and Results Chains, can be exported as .SVG vector files and recent enhancements to the exported .SVG file increases their utility for Miradi users:
- New SVG exports more faithfully reproduce the format and styles in the Miradi online diagram. Learn more about how to export diagrams as SVG files.
- SVG exports are now even easier to edit in PowerPoint. Learn more about how to create and edit poster-sized diagram images using .SVG exports.
- SVGs can be retrieved by the Miradi API and used in external programs such as Microsoft Power BI. Contact Us if you would like to access your Miradi program data using the Miradi API.
- Miradi factor identifiers, names and types are included as data fields in the SVG export and can be accessed in external programs such as Microsoft Power BI.
Explore new ways of sorting & filtering data in enhanced tracking trees
All Miradi project content created in Miradi diagrams can also be viewed in one or more tracking trees. Tracking trees are hierarchically organized lists of diagram content that can be sorted and filtered for easier viewing and editing. Miradi project data can also be created and edited, as well as moved, copied and shared in the tracking tree views.
For example, use the Action Tracking tree to view and edit all details for all types of Actions (Strategies, Activities, Tasks):
- Click on a factor name in the left panel to access the "..." menu for adding and deleting content.
- Drag and drop the factor name in the left panel up and down the tree to move, copy or share the factor.
Additional data sort & filter options in Action, Results, and Impact Tracking views.
Recent enhancements to all the tracking tree views provide new options for sorting and filtering. In the Action Tracking view, choose whether to view a complete list of all Strategies in the Miradi Project, or filter them by Results Chain or Situation Model.
Under Results Tracking, view all Results & Strategies in a tree view or filter them by Results Chain.
Under Impact Tracking, view all Targets in a tree view or filter them by Results Chain or Situation Model.
Copy or Move Tasks using drag and drop
In all tracking tree views, factors in the left hand menu can be moved, copied or shared by dragging them from one place in the tree to another. For example, Strategies can be moved (or copied or shared) by clicking and dragging the Strategy name from one Results Chain to another.
Actions in Miradi are organized hierarchically, with Strategies at the highest level, then Activities, and then Tasks. Strategies can contain many Activities, and Activities can contain many Tasks.
In the tracking tree views, Activities can be moved or copied between parent Strategies by dragging and dropping the name of the Activity to a new parent Strategy. Similarly, Tasks can now also be moved or copied between parent Activities using the same drag-and-drop action.
Program feature: Import additional indicator data with data bulk imports
Miradi program spaces provide a set of Bulk Import tools to support bulk editing and bulk import of large data sets to one or more Miradi projects at a time. Users with Program Admin level access or higher can access these tools at the program level under Report Management.
Recent additions to Import Indicators of Results/Targets provide access to information about the Associated Results Chain for each Indicator.
Program feature: Automatically add new Miradi accounts to Miradi program spaces
Miradi Program Managers now have the option to automate the addition of new Miradi Accounts to organizational program spaces. When a new user signs up for a Miradi account using an organizational email address, they can be automatically added to any programs owned by that organization. If you would like to enable this feature for your organization and your program space(s), please contact us.
Coming soon in 2024
We have some big new features in the works! We'll provide more information when they launch but below is a sneak peak of things to come early in 2024. If you'd like to get early access to these types of features and provide input to their design, take our Miradi User Survey and by doing so join our User Pool!
